We have had our 2021 BMW serviced by Babbit since we purchased in 2021. We have had several issues that they have serviced. When we had an issue in January 2026 the price they charged seemed high but we had always been happy so we approved the job. We recently had another issue and took it back. The price once again seemed high. This time we got another quote and the price was almost double. We questioned the original quote and we were told that in fact a mistake had been made and the hours charged was significantly overcharged. We took our car elsewhere. While they did the correct thing and did not charge us an evaluation fee this still settles wrong and makes me think they have don’t this previously. I don’t understand with today’s systems how the hours could be input wrong, doesn’t the computer software determine the hours to bill based on the project. Anyways use at your own risk or at least get a 2nd quote.
As shared with the customer, Jen Babbitt sincerely apologizes for the mistake made on the estimate while covering for Danny. Unfortunately, there was a human error in the labor calculation. Once the miscalculation was discovered, the customer was contacted within 20 minutes and informed of the corrected estimate. We acknowledge the mistake and take full responsibility for it. Honesty and transparency are extremely important to us, and we believe in being upfront and accountable whenever an error occurs.
