My daughter's BMW had a transmission malfunction message and was obviously not working correctly. I left the car at Babbit's on Saturday afternoon. Monday morning they were on it. They charge a diagnostic fee which at the last BMW place I had gone to (in Tucson, about a different issue sometime ago) was a waste of money. Babbit's really did some work for their fee and ruled out some possible issues. In the end they referred me to a compident transmission shop. Finding a honest transmission shop alone was probably worth their fee. Jenny, who answered the phone at Babbit's was both cheerful and knowledgeable. How refreshing.
Ted, glad we were able to diagnose your issue, and get you to someone who could help. Not all problems require replacing parts, and sometimes there are other affordable alternatives that make more sense. This is where we differ from the dealership and most shops. We make sure to give our customers every option possible for their vehicles, so that they can make the best decision based on their own unique situation. Again, we are very pleased to have been able to help you. Thank you for the review!
